Manual Install mods Resident Evil Village
Since can not use any form of mod manager Where would I install said mods in the game files? I checked the pfx and can not seem to find the native files to place mods in.

Game files are not in the pfx. The simplest way to locate them is to right click the game in Steam > Properties > Local files > Browse...

it's not entirely true that mod managers can't be used... but it would take a bit of work getting one to function properly

in short: add them as a custom app + set this entry to be ran via proton + set proton to use the same prefix folder as the target game

that is of course if you aren't lucky to have one in steam > library > tools / software (instead of "games" on the upper part of the left column)

Yeah, I have Vortex Mod Manager installed as a non-Steam app it works great. I have made a Steam guide if you are interested to know how to do.

Issue is the folders needed to place mods in are not present in the browsem hyst the .ini/chunck/.exe is all I can see, So not sure where they placed the folders for the textures and such!
Vortex mod manager in Lutris is locked to a very old version so yeah you won't benefit of game updates pushed to Vortex if you install it with Lutris.

This is why I've made a guide for installing Vortex as non-Steam game, it uses the latest Vortex versions and should support newer games like RE8.

That said, I believe the guide will be too complicated for you to understand if you don't know to resolve a simple step that is to locate game files.

Anyway here are few choices, 1) you locate game files manually as explained in #1 and you install the mod manually and resolve all the difficulties it generates, 2) you manage to install an up to date version of Vortex (this will serve not only in RE8 but all the futur games you want to mod) 3) if Linux if too boring you could consider dual booting into Windows and this way, all will work without much efforts

Well I am willing to learn, I just checked out the guide you got set up, But is it made for Arch or will it work with any linux? I run popos!
Sure it should work, some little things might differ like the steam root path on your system but I give tips to find all what is necessary.

Anyway if you are stuck and need help, let me know in comments or add me friend, I could always update it if necessary

Once I have time I could add the settings so that Vortex will automatically detect RE8 if installed, as I did for popular games like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout, etc etc... This part you are supposed to guess it yourself with all the examples already available but I could always add them so you just need to copy paste

Hello, I am assuming by your user name that you are a Linux user; if so I would love to know how you did this...where is this "Steam Guide" you mentioned?
