Steam for Linux

Desktop Icon missing on my desktop
I am using pop os and when I make a desktop shortcut for my games, the icon would just be a gear. How do I make it so that it would have the csgo logo.

Here is the how it looks like on my desktop

In my system, the icons for my desktop shortcuts are located in $HOME/.local/share/icons/hicolor/ (each folder has a png with the resolution specified in the folder name). If you still can't find the icon for you game there, steam normally has zip files with all the icons in $HOME/.steam/steam/games, so you will have to unzip the icon you're looking for.
