Microphone issue on arch linux
I have a mic connected to my comp, the sound mixer shows that it's picking up sound when I speak into it. I launch tf 2 and it doesn't work. In game mic test shows no response and no1 can hear anything I say in the mic while in a match.

What's the problem here exactly?

Where are the voice settings? I'm looking around in the settings menu and I can't find them.

Thx, I found it. Way to go putting it in some obscure corner of the friends list instead of in the settings lol.

Aaaaand still no reaction from the mic test in game even though it worked in the voice settings mic test. Yay.

I'll check it out, thanks.
This aint the first time something like this has happened. Literally every single time I've plugged a new sound unit into this comp (speaker or headphones) I've had to wrestle the sound settings for several minutes to make it actually play sound through said unit.

Try to install this package: pavucontrol and see if you can setup the device there

Damn, pulseaudio sucks!!!
