This part is unclear to me:
Find the Microsoft Windows applications you want by searching the winepak repository, either via the software center or the terminal.
After adding winepak repo Apps available in Gnome Software for me. I can install them from terminal as well.
but isnt it considered redistrobution?
example is the league of legends case, could be problematic.
it's a neat idea, hopefully they will manage it properly without problems.
looks like a nice idea. can you maybe re-use the install scripts from https://lutris.net/ ? They have gotten many games working.

Scripts and lessons learned from Lutris project can be very useful there of course. If you have some time please advice them this on their GitHub https://github.com/winepak/applications/issues
I tested League of Legends: Client work, but game itself doesnt. I already reported bug on GitHub and to upstream (Riot Games).
