ES4: Oblivion - where to find Oblivion.ini
I have installed Oblivion again, but in Linux this time. Of course I'm installing mods but have problems with the Archive Invalidation. I found a mod on the Nexus to solve this (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/10724?tab=description) but to get it to work I need to register a bsa file in Oblivion.ini. Under Windows that ini file would be under My Documents\My Games\Oblivion but where can it be found when installed under Linux/Proton?

Ah! I found it, thanks. (But I had to change 900883 to 22330.)
Right it depends on your game edition.
Also with Proton 4.11 you can enable D9VK adding to the game launcher ( i use feral's gamemode as well)
PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 DXVK_HUD=fps gamemoderun %command%
If you encounter bugs or find a performance increased with that variable on, you could report it here https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/718

Oblivion is already performing really well with all the options maxed. I don't know if I would notice any increased performance when it is doing so well already.

There's a global solution for such problems under Linux: locate. (Might need installation.)

That shows I changed to Linux fulltime not that long ago, as I didn't know of locate yet. I just tried it and it is already installed. There is still much to learn.

Did it work for you?
Cause it did'nt for me. I edited the .ini and the put the .bsa in the Data folder, but nothing.

I try "touch -t 201112240000 " on all the .bsa (cf the VERY IMPORTANT NOTE on https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/10724?tab=posts ) but the game don't load the textures.

It works for me. I had to change it in two lines in my Oblivion.ini, both started with SArchiveList as shown below. In my Oblivion.ini file they are line number 665 and 679, but that might be different for you depending on how you changed your .ini file.

SArchiveList=Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa, Oblivion - Sounds.bsa, Oblivion - Voices1.bsa, Oblivion - Voices2.bsa, Oblivion - Misc.bsa

It has been a few months now since I last played Oblivion (I'm playing Morrowind and Civilization 3 at the moment) and can't remember if I did anything else to make it work.

Yeah, I don't know why it's not working. I'll try to make a Bash script to list the files and write their locations in a .txt file. Thanks.
