I was meaning not gnome-terminal
I can run any distro really well i just dislike gnome after the ubuntu problems, And i have an xfce Arch distro since 7 hours ago, Switched over from solus :)
I run an a sh file and it takes 2 seconds to respond, I do the same with a random ♥♥♥♥♥♥ terminal emulator and its instant :/
xfce-terminal is not so bad either imo... and there are are dozens others that do the same...
there really is no big difference tbh... for true experience go for tty (CTRL ALT F1-7)
Just trying to help
... perhaps simply re-install it, have NEVER heard of any issue with gnome-terminal being slow - EVER - or any other terminal (by definition they are exponentially faster than GUIs
Медленный)? Это как)?
I installed 3 other "terminals"
xterm, mate terminal, and UXTerm ... including gnome-terminal they ALL opened steam in 6-7 seconds - so back to my point . Terminals Emulators - DO NOT (in my opinion) make ANY difference in a normally operating system.
frww - that's that
Yea in general there is no real difference.
