Ubuntu mate 16.04

Bruh I ain't kidding, no problems with steam. I installed ubuntu mate 16.04 last night everything from steam to google chrome and up to date nvidia drivers installed without the terminal

Edit: and I mean the latest drivers like you would install from Nvidia website if you where on windows

Well, Steam works pretty well in practically any Linux distribution, particularly if you install via your distribution's repository instead of from the web.

Steam with ubuntu didn't fair well with me shift tab overlay wouldn't work, if I changed my res in csgo main menu the entire screen would move with my mouse cursor movement up down side to side.i like it 16.04 just couldn't get over that issue.

How did you install Steam in Ubuntu Unity with "sudo apt install steam"? And with Mate you downloaded from website and installed?

Now I curious what fixed the CS:GO, change in package or change in distro...

Steam was installed through the terminal in ubuntu 16.04

ubuntu mate steam is already in software center in welcome screen game section all you do to install is click the install button the rest is done for you ez pz

Aha, thanks for explaining (so no package change, distro change fixed CS:GO, hm).

Packages are the same, os is super user friendly runs like Linux mint
I'm liking the MATE tweak feature my desktop looks like the unity layout

Main goal of release allow easy run windows games in Steam-windows with only 2 wine-prefixes 32bit and 64bit.

Base of releases: Linux Mint 18.1 x64, Ubuntu 16.04.1 x64, MX-Linux (Debian) x64
All of it updated to kernel 4.9.4 and Mesa 17 and Wine 2.0 except MX ( 4.8.0,13,2.0)

warning - after install system needs to change language to ENGLISH.
ISO created for ex-USSR users by default but of course an be used everyone.
Distros create for home using and playing.
Main test program - Unreal Tournament III, IV. Works fine!

For installation Use Systemback program. (Alt-F2 Systemback) I prefer Linux Mint version. (Installer in english)
