SAO BRO FIST.
its gets ALOT better after level 7, just bear with it for a while
Wizardry is oldschool man, your talking a fairly early PC game (floppy) and regular nintendo for Wizardry 1
You hear of Legend of Grimrok? This is a (fairly good) attempt to modernize this early (sub?) genre.
Another one that does a better job of it imho is the demise games (ascension is the best version, bugfixes and expanded). But if you like completing games in days or even weeks HAHAHA your looking at the game still easily being playable years after starting it. The dungeon will force you out if you go too deep when your not ready for it either by the skin of your teeth or in a body bag.
