From the Wiki page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizardry_Online ...... "On October 2011 open beta was launched in Japan. On June 2012, Sony Online Entertainment announced that it would publish Wizardry Online outside of Japan. Closed beta testing began 29 October 2012. The game was released in the US and EU on 30 January 2013. On 24 January 2014, Sony Online Entertainment announced it will be shutting down the servers on 31 July 2014.[9]"
Sorry you're not smart, sonny, but as you can see the announcement to close the game came almost a year to the day after if was officially released to the general public. Mind you, if you're only six years old, a game released in 2013 must seem like a long time ago.
Wizardry Online is still a very popular MMO in Japan. It wasn't "written off" the day it was launched, it was expected to reach only a niche audience. I imagine you're a very casual easy-mode gamer who doesn't want to embrace control limitations, and that's fine, there's millions of people like you controlling the market, but there are still gamers out there that enjoy games with stricter rules - it provides more of a challenge to some.
"slow", "clunky", "uninspired" are just excuses you're using to describe your distaste towards unrestricted control and freedom. You're clearly not bored of the "uninspired", "convenient", "easy" FPS-style environment that's apparent in almost every other MMO out there. :P
