I'm guessing this question was more related to when you were playing 2 players on the same side, but (Even though I haven't played the multiplayer in... is it 10 years since it first released?) I think this works the same as when you have more than 1 unit that will charge in the same turn.
I think the order is by color. And I have assumed that it goes by what color you fused first.
There used to be some decent guides online, that should still be around. I have noted that I can't check my opponents units as easily with keyboard (I believe this was fairly easy in the old version) and this is one thing I am missing.
The breakdown above might be better... Here is more text I guess. :D
Every attack that is sent don't a line will have a power value. For every health it has to go trough, it will be lowered by an equal amount. If there is any power left, it will be dealt to the opponent.
If it attacks a charging unit, it will have to lower it's "power/health" to 0 for it to be removed.
If it's an idle unit. It will lower the power by it's health value. But as long as there is at least 1 power, the unit will be removed/die.
Special units will have some special rules. And some of the core units have extra rules as well.
In case this has been overlooked. There is a key that will show some extra numbers (Like idle health) on the battlefield.
