I am actually curious minus the known Mello fact. how would Mello work as the arrester?
Edit since people cannot read the Mello player is the one who put the cuffs on the person.
Mello lose conditions are:
Mello dies.
Mello get arrested.
Mello Kills L (Team Kira wins).
L Arrest Kira.
while Mello win condition is:
Mello Kills Kira
4 Lose Con vs 1 Win con.

I think Mello has advantages to counteract the disadvantage of easily losing.
For one I think Mello Gun usage is quick action (no input) just highlight and Bang.
I think the possible second advantage is He might not expose Kira when arresting him.
But will expose the Follower for stolen ids.
If this is the Case it might benefit Mello to kill the Confirmed investigator so he can Arrest Kira. Definitely if Mello get a Clue he arrested Kira that only revealed to him because if he doesn't expose Kira then Kira knows he got arrested by Mello and I don't see the logic of Mello enabling his Lose Condition because L selected him to arrest Kira.

Also it quite weird for the Mello Player to not Know he arrested Kira if he doesn't Expose the Death Note. You will think he will see the Death Note. And be like Yeah I don't want L to Win.

Mello doesnt arrest kira, he gets to shoot a player each round

Mello is very overpowered in the sense that he can kill a player every round. You assume L won't keep mello alive as a threat.

Mello just shoots whoever touches him every round until there's a reasonable kira suspect.

False if mello does that he dies to kira. Mello is only a threat as long as he doesn't shoot anyone Kira cannot be obvious. Once mello gets a kill Team kira can easily steal his id and kill him. That day.

You also misread the question was Arrester not the guy getting Cuffed.
Mello is the one who put the cuff not the other way around. You people can't read.
