How to reset name to play

so when i got into game and entered my name ( i did try a couple of names before i can use a nickname that i want ) and after that i tryed to get in the game and it give me and error about the name that i entered that it was with forbiden words and iam confused now what to do

Considering I am taking a day break from the game. It's either in Setting or in Profile. look for it there's the screen name (the name everyone see) and Judgement name (the Name that only Kira when writing your name or when arrested can be seen.)

no i mean i cant get to play te game because i cant log in because of the name that i selected to use i cant get pass the log in game screen

Have you been able to find a solution? I can't create a nickname, because the nickname creation/nickname verification button is gray so that I don't type there.

yep for me i deleted game , stop steam cloud , deleted all existing files on the pc from the game reinstal and started t he game without cloud managed to create a new nickname that was for me for you when you enter name click enter if its valid you will get ingame if not the game will tell you to change to a new name
