Sure, it could be a cool new rule, which you can use if you really want, but it should not be forced.
It's the same as Kira using the Death Note in front of everyone. Just get it over with and move on to the next game. The point of the game is that it's a fight between L and Kira. They need to both be trying to win for it to be fun.
Thankfully things can be tweaked but IMO giving a 5s cooldown before ID can be stolen on day 1 would help prevent that
Agreed, when I first started playing I was against it, but as I've played more, the game ending and Kira winning when L dies does work. Not only is it Kira's best chance of winning (I already mainly see L's winning anyway), but L is supposed to stay cleverly hidden and avoid people. It's his whole thing.
It also makes it more fun for multiple reasons; the main one being it's funny when investigators start suspecting L of being Kira because they're hiding a lot - which is what I think the devs intended. I've been accused of being Kira loads when playing as L. It's also like the anime where the police team start distrusting L near the beginning because he's in hiding and spying on them. It's not only true to the show but it's also more exciting, and means that L needs to be clever, as he is in the show.
Yes it sucks when you get an L that has the IQ of a plant, but still, that's the game. You also get bad Kira's who write in the Death Note in the middle of the street so swings and roundabouts.
While the idea of delaying one's death with t he death note sounds good on paper, I can't help but feel like it'll make it much harder for people to determine who was where doing what. I'm already having a hard time keeping track of 4-7 individuals, now I have to keep track of them and their actions for the past 15 seconds?
Not to mention you could kill someone with the 15s delay, use a command card to divert attention to a few areas, and that person could die without anyone knowing their whereabouts because of the delay and the attention to the Kira/L test
As for Kira, same situation. You have to be sneaky with everything you have a lot of commands at your disposal practice them in the tutorial.
The main issue I’ve seen is lots of people skip the tutorial then are mad because when they get to play as Kira or L they die/get caught immediately lol
