Endings?

I enjoyed the game a lot, but it was too short (despite the needless delays for "deliveries"/re-stocking).
The ending was a surprise to behold, but ultimately disappointing that it effectively came to nothing. I mean you never meet you neighbour on the beach, you dont go into space and the only difference you seeming can to the ending is whether you get bear-hugged/kissed by the old lady!

Is that all there really is? 1 ending with a 5 second difference if you keep the hug token?
Or have people found some real changes?

I've playtested this a few times and I am quite certain there is no way to change the ending besides using the hug ticket.

Just finished for my third time, this time with mousepad, paper heart, and picture of girl. No effect that I noticed. So far only the hug ticket does anything end wise.
