You can only play modded characters that both players have installed.
Therefore, if they don't want to fight a character, they should just uninstall them.
If you have a character installed, you kind of have no ground to stand when people pick that character and it's OP or something.
Yeah! That works actually- It's moreso that I feel like that even while *this* is the case, there's still gonna be people who complain, but then again I guess everyone's got something to complain about no matter what (even about the vanilla characters, e.g. wiz).
I'll be a bit less hesitant, see how that goes, thank you!
some people just feel a need to gather all the complete characters
not all of the mods are busted, but if you see it was made by Inkless Brush, be ashamed as hell, his characters are blatantly overpowered and you will have people altF4 before the round even starts
most others are basically vanilla level or lower
Inkless... Brush...
I looked at their workshop items and yeah! I recognize them, I *think* they're the same person who made a bunch of really high quality but still pretty broken Rivals of Aether mods! I figured that they also did a few for YOMI given their youtube uploads, but I'll keep that in mind for the future!
...Then again- I guess if someone ELSE uses those characters on me, superluigi's argument comes back to bite me...
At the end of the day, no character is overpowered (maybe except some characters like the two I mentioned), it really just depends on the player playing that character, and how well they know that characters tools.
Also,
They actually ARE the same person, you can probably find their Twitter X (think its lam or something) and can find a few of the same characters that were in their RoA mods, like Katie, Nolan, Zetta, etc.
Ohh! I did recognize Zetta(?) being literally Miko (with an event bigger sprinkle of DMC more than their usual mods, especially vergil's kit) but I wasn't 100% sure too because of their username having changed between then and now afaik...
And on the balance point, I do agree with you! It's mainly why I'm a little perplexed because I'm AWARE that vanilla characters can be REALLY good if used well (I recall a whole video of someone shredding through a championship using robot of all things) hence why I was on "Should I feel bad about using mod characters or should I just not worry because most characters need skill either way to be used effectively"
