Moveable/customizable interface? Hotkeys?

Is this even a possibility?

I'm really glad the option to speed up/slow down the game is available, but could the controls for that be made moveable? Or at least have 1, 2, 3 hotkeys (like the SIMS) for speeding up/slowing down the game?

Everything else on the UI is at the bottom, of the screen, and then there's the speed control, waaaaay up in the left hand top corner of the screen

I just started playing again after a long absence, and I remember why I quit before. There's almost no keyboard controls whatsoever, and my mouse hand is killing me after only one long play session. Every other game like this one has 'space' as a pause button and often uses 1 / 2 / 3 as the time buttons. There is no button to deselect what you currently have selected, so I constantly feel like I'm stuck while playing. Having a key that draws the arrow to the next asteroid would be helpful, and a button that sends seedlings. Without these things, the game just doesn't feel like it is reaching its potential.

I decided to replay the game too and by god the lack of hotkeys in this game is a real oversight
