Train Speedup With Track Placed Increase
WHY does the train speedup if you are being successful and have a lot of tracks placed, this is just a punishment to the player for being good and makes me not want to play.

Lmao! I think your misunderstanding the question, if you place alot of tracks ahead of the train (within a single level) it speeds up for no reason, then slows down again once is approaches the end of the track.

Ah, really? Didn't know that.

yes, I noticed that too...
i has to increase at every station, not at how many tracks we put

Ah, maybe you ment when you put the last piece of track to connect station if accelerates and ends level?
losamisaiel Nov 24, 2024 @ 9:01am
nope, accelerating when the last track is placeed and the station is connected should be the normal.
we are saying that if you remain on the same level making "loop tracks" so you can literally spend all the resources of the level, the speed will increase.
(not working like this but for example imagine):
I put 10 tracks -> speed's up
I put another 10 -> speed up
and go on.
I conect the station -> go to the natural speed.
I didnt see if the normal speed is gotten at the end, but I noticed the speeding up whitout conecting the station, I thought It was a new feature so the players have another reason to finish the level asap... but if i was not the only one noticing this, and others notices that when you connect the station it slow down... its clearly a bug.

maybe the speed its calculated from the number of tracks instead of the number of stations.

I enjoyed always to use all the level resources, but in this one I think its not a good thing at all, still dont know if its a bug or a feature but dude...
I love the game but so many bugs

What I've experienced is that the train will speed up to get to the end of the amount of tracks you have placed, it will then slow down once it gets to within 6 or so tracks of what you've placed.

This completely destroys the ability to place lots of tracks for the train so that you have more time to complete the level and is not a good feature in my opinion. I enjoy the old system more where you can buy time by placing more tracks.

yea this is kinda bad

No, this behavior is fine, IMO. I think this is how U1 was too. It makes things so they have to be a little hectic. It's too boring if you can just immediately place all tracks except the last one.

I supposed that too so i didnt opened a discussion about that but just to be sure xD
And no, thats not how it works in U1, in U1 it mantains the same speed no matter how many tracks you put

For me it completely ruins the reward pathway for placing tracks, what's the point if the train just speeds up anyway? My hard work for placing tracks isn't rewarded with more time to not die.

yeah, I got your point
the reward on the first one its to place or collect as much as possible
in the second, to get to the station as fast as possible

the problem? if you are a solo player, it clearly increases the difficulty in the second game.
on the other hand, when you finish a boss, your tracks outside your hands or wagon, will automatically get deleted so in the end there is no point at all.

So in the end, its a core change I think there is not much to do about it, the only option is to open a poll or something on the official discord and get an enough big participation and difference in votes so the devs change this.

But I dont believe that will happen...

So "Score Legs?" if you want to play U1 with someone who loves to place as many tracks as possible since minute 1, you have here a teammate, Already sent you a friend request to you if you wanted :steamthumbsup:

Appreciate the invite :steamthumbsup:, will keep it in mind. I believe you are correct it is a pretty fundamental change in the game play especially in regards to the Bosses.

What if I tell you the train is actually slowing down when there are not too many tracks left to make you feel you came just in time to save it from crash?
