Also, try to get headshots to conserve ammo and kill more quickly. Even if it's not a full decapitation upon first shot, you can hit them only a few times in the body afterward and they will drop quickly. I unlocked Carla with relative ease using these few tips. Also, simply take advantage of the skills in Mercenaries as there is a skill that extends the time for your combos.
2. Counter, counter, counter. Do a mix of headshot+melee (+5 seconds) and straight up counters (+10 seconds).
If you have trouble with the timing for the counter, aim quickly when the zombie starts to swing, release aim, then tap the mouse button (the aiming blocks your melee attacks, so tapping works).
3. Time your combo. You have 15 seconds to keep the combo going, so unless it's really urgent, slow down with the kills.
4. Keep the good stuff for the big boys. Anything zombie is no problem with handgun+melee. For the big guys of the map you want to keep your magnum ready, so you can get rid of them quickly to keep the combo going.
That's the way I play, I haven't done a 150 combo yet, but usually I get something around 60 or 70. It's enough for an S rank.
A lot of times i just run around throwing grenades at hordes then goto their dead bodies and pick up more grenades for the next horde.
so aiming and letting go makes it so you can tap melee button a couple of times for the counter? or is it still itming specific?
Basically, yes. I'm still practicing this, but yes, it's a lot easier than just trying to hit the button just at the right moment.
The aiming blocks your melee attack for a brief period, so the moment a zombie starts swinging I aim, instantly let go of the aim again and tap mouse 1.
Same here, mercenaries in re6 is way too difficult and tougher than re4 and 5, technically you don't have much time to have eyes everywhere persistently not even a single second, you have to be insanely quick to make a decision to kill an enemy in order to rack up the combos, one wrong move, one health block will be deducted,as for no mercy mode if you take a damage, your health block will recover wtf,the way I see it the scenario should be reversed cause that seems fluently fair, its just insanity and unbalanced,no wonder this game got a lot of hate,I'm surprised capcom haven't delete this game yet
