okey so im running from that boss in the cylinder room, and is anyone else experiencing SERIOUS problems running from it?
im playing with keyboard and im up to about 20 tries now, every time:
1. chris keeps running into a wall
2.doesnt slide
3.doesnt help that other guy to climb up....
so frustrating!

I don't blame you, took me 25 attempts before I got it right. but don't use the mouse for this part unless you have to shoot or slide. Have both hands controlling the direction and dashing. To help out piers will always be at the center, no where else. but once you help piers up, press v right after.

I died 3 times!

A hint: When you shoot at his head (when he blocks your way), RUN IMMEDIATELY! Don't wait until the camera is fixed!

Yeah this is one of the most poorly made parts of the game. Numerous people have had the same problem. Pretty much all the running-from-something sections in this game are terrible because they give you no room for error.

You literally just have to keep repeating until you get it. If this was so terrible within the development process and nobody thought it was problematic then you know that the game lacks focus.

Me and my buddy tried this part around 50 times and wie didn't managed to suceed. After shooting the head, it doesn't matter. The player behind struggles with the poor camera angle, it reverses the controls so that the are not the same as the angle. Left is backwards and so on. It cannot be done in Co-Op. I come through, player 2 dies. Player 2 comes through, i die. My strategy is to play this part with the bot, and restart at the next Checkpoint. I mean this is a game breaking bug, that must not be in the final Release. It ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2 evenings of playing.

dont get me wrong its total bs but if you try enough youll get it. i tryed prolly 30 times before i got it and still think i just got lucky. i hear a controller makes it easy but if you dont have one just keep trying youll get it eventually. just try not to break anything

And the best is: The checkpoint after the elevator is no Checkpoint you can restart your Co-OP session. I'm so pissed of right now with this ♥♥♥♥.

Just do whatever you can, the most annoying part is definitely that forced camera turn after shooting him for the first time, that's definitely the killer, but otherwise, it is indeed possible with the keyboard. I found no reason to think that poorly thought decision as the fixed-camera in that one portion is a justification to suddenly plug in a controller. I had no problems initially, but my co-op partner did. For some reason, we'd be in the exact pace pretty much, but he'd still be killed by a collapsing platform that wasn't even hit by Haos yet. Weird.

Remember that if you're using default mouse controls, when you need to slide, using the Mouse 2 alternate instead of 3 can be easier to manage.

Probably the most frustrating part of the game for me so far. The bit where I was failing on was the sliding bit. You have to get the timing absolutely perfect otherwise you will fail this section and have to start from the long ladder climb again. Basically slide for only as long as you need to, make sure you don't remain on the ground after it.

Yup just finished that part with my co-op partner. We died about 20 times between us. It really is terribly designed down to the switching camera angles. I'd imagine its easier with a controller and an update that made it so you didn't need to switch keys would make it much easier. Unfortnately as of now the only thing you can do is keep at it, you'll eventually get it. Good luck!

Just finished this chapter, had 17 deaths and 14 or 15 of them were this part. So terrible. For me it is not the sliding part that is the problem, it's camera movement before you get to the sliding part. You have to use the directional keys that are facing the way that the ramp is headed. Not the best explanation, i know. Chris campaign was so stupid. Very glad to be done with it and i will probably never replay it again.

Running away and QTE were the worst moments in this game. Around 90% of the deaths are from those.

yeah,it feels like it comes down to:
musclememory and pure luck.
i mean, just at what i think is the end of that segment, suddenly Chris died! even though that monster hadnt even smashed the floor!

it was the same with the segment in japan, running on those boats, several times one of the characters just drowned!

i wonder who grenlit those segments??
i mean.. there is one thing to have a hard segment, but its another to have segments like these, that is just full out irritating, its not even funny o.O
i dont even want to start the game again right now, even though i really want to,just because of this cylinder-room segment :s

The Problem with my Co-Op partner is that: We don't have the same camera turn. The player who is behind (even just one or three meters) has an angle the player is not visible so you can't adjust your direction. And the control directions are not logical. Keyboard left is to the back of the camero in the direction of the monster. So in the moment of the turn the Second player has no chance to be as fast as the first player, who have no camera problems. I tired it by myself with the bot, i managed to deal with that part in 3 out of 4 tries. Just with my co-op Partner it won't work, and my partner is a far better Resident Evil player than me. The last Rayman Origins bonus level wasnt half as frustration as this 4 minutes of this running part. It's just RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW! >.<

wow! so after about 25 tries i finally managed to do that segment with running!
lol the boss itself was so easy compared to the running around in the circle room.
sigh.
