Possible Solution for Crashing
I checked, and BH6.exe doesn't have the LAA flag set. For people who are experiencing crashing, you might want to try setting LAA on BH6.exe and see if it helps. It certainly can't hurt.

The easiest way to make a program Large Address Aware is to use this program[www.techpowerup.com]. Don't worry, it's totally safe.

Please report back if this helps.

Edit: Nope. No easy workarounds for us today. :(

Wouldn't this only be something that affects the system memory? If the error message is anything to go by, it seems to be a video memory issue.

Will give it a go either way.

It is indeed crashing based on video memory, but windows counts video ram against the 2GB cap for non-LAA processes. Since the framebuffer itself can be quite large for higher resolutions, it might help.

I see! Makes sense then, hopefully this might help.

I'll give this a shot as well. I'm having the same issue with a 6GB video card and 16 Gigs of RAM.

Unfortunately half an hour it still crashed. Worth a try though.

Darn.

I guess we may just need to wait for Capcom to patch it. :/

I played for 5hrs straight and haven't experienced any system stopping issues.

What is this crashing people keep talking about?
Nezacant Mar 25, 2013 @ 5:08am
I used this and the "Resident Evil 6 Fixer" that is now floating around together and only had 1 crash while playing all day yesterday. That crash was not the memory error.

@Azo The crash is a video memory related crash. Possible memory leak. The error claims the game ran out of video memory.

Whats that Resident Evil 6 Fixer? I'd like to find it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7kjpSuvvI0 has the link to the download. The video shows you how to use it. (It's not hard) I warn you though... The download is hosted on one of those sites that make you jump through hoops to download. Don't use your real info and keep your virus scanner ready. I never trust those sites.

I ran the fixer before I ran the LAA fix described above. My crashing did not stop, it just wouldn't happen as often. After doing the LAA fix, I didn't have a video related crash all of Sunday. My suggestion is to try the LAA fix first to see if that helps to avoid going to that POS download site.

I would strongly discourage you from downloading that. It's fishy as hell, and even without analysis, I can almost guarantee it's a trojan.

It seems so.

LoL, RE6 fixer? Really? I vehemently urge everyone from downloading that fixer. Shady software on shady site is shady.

Seriously, just look at it. Someone made a VB template with checkboxes for issues people are reporting. It's so transparently fake that I feel extremely bad for anyone who was foolish enough to run it.
