Yes. The partner character will be a nondescript "agent" with no lines and complete inability to interact with doors or other story-required stuff, but as far as gameplay goes, he'll be technically equal to every other partner character.

As far as gameplay purposes go, yes, it can be played co-op.

Yes, they poorly implemented this character called 'Agent'. It's simply awful how they managed that. It was clearly a 5 min job as it seems all they did was copy and paste him into the damn game.

It still can be played completely solo without even an AI partner as it was originally, they added the partner character cuz people asked for co-op in Ada's campaign. For those who don't want it just change the game privacy. The partner character is only present if there is a co-op player.

As to why the Store Page lists it as solo, the news of the PC version having the update from the get-go were released only later and the Store Page description hasn't simply been updated.

well that make sense, but that is just another reason why he isn't Hunk since Hunk do have a background story unlike Agent.
