Green Herbs

I keep picking up Green herbs and nothing is happening. RB doesnt do anything and after I pick them up, nothing denotes that I have done so. This game is passable at best and this is just really pissing me off

You played the tutorial and you were shown how to mix herbs to put them in a slot.
You open the item menu, the selection will be on a herb by default. By pressing sprint button you'll bring up actions prompt, if you press again you'll select combine option. Then a second herb will be highlighted automatically. Press the button again and it will be mixed. After that you can either mix it again (if it was green + green) or you can already put it in a slot.

You can actually press H to combine any herbs in your inventory and add them to your pill box. It's way easier than using the console piece of ♥♥♥♥ item menu.

Its really quick but you go into your inventory and combine the herbs together or add them to your Herb case

If you are using an xbox controller, the default for auto mixing herbs and adding to your tablets should be RB and X IIRC.
