Pros -
Leon's campaign is the highlight, the first three chapters were great..Last two is a little silly..
Good graphics, sound, and voice over. Controls are fluid too.
Mercenaries mode is the best so far in a Resident Evil game.
Cons -
Chris' campaigne was ok but the way Capcom wrote Chris was terrible. (Big angry Chris always yelling)
Ada and Sherry's campaigns are the worst, seemed very forced.
Story was pretty bad. (How many times does the main villain want to bring back Umbrella? Ada has a clone out of nowhere? Wesker has a son all this time? Simmons transforms into a dinosaur for no apparent reason. T- Virus, G-Virus, C-Virus? (What is next V-Virus? E-Virus?)
Helena's plot with her sister and Simmons is ridiculous.
Not being able to buy new weapons.
Perk system completely sucks.
Way to overally dramatic at times.
Not enough zombies.
NOT ENOUGH ZOMBIE?? yea that is resident evil common problem since the first times i play it (re4)
Capcom needs to reboot RE with RE7. Do something revolutionary like what they did with RE4.
True dat. You have to be pretty new to gaming to like RE6 because there are flaws all over the place.
It's not as if I even said I played and loved all the other Resident Evil games or anything.
RE6 is just a bad game, I don't know how anyone can love that game especially when you've already played all the other REs. Compared to RE4 for example, RE6 is a complete joke and everyone knows that. The only reason why anyone would like RE6 would be for the female characters because they're pretty cute and have the nicest butts in video game history, this is the main reason why I forced myself to finish the game too. Nothing like seeing Ada crawl through the air duct.
It's not that I don't like the game, it's just that the game isn't underrated at all and it deserves the bad reviews and ratings because it's not a good game compared to its predecessors and I wouldn't like to see more resident evils like this one ever again. Even capcom admitted that re6 was mediocre and they'll be focusing on fan needs for re7.
And it's unfortunate that you can't take advantage of the superior butt design in this game but maybe you can watch Chris punch and throw monsters with his big muscles instead because girls like to see big muscles I guess.
It's not my opinion, it's just the way it is. I'm quite surprised to see people who love this game so much considering how mediocre it is. I guess some people just like playing bad games huh.
You're stating these like they're facts but this IS just your personal opinion, and that IS a fact.
♥♥♥♥ it, you're either trolling or a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot, and I don't associate myself with lower lifeforms.
As XenoAlbedo already mentioned, the way how we're seeing (and evaluate) games is in most cases purely subjective. In fact, there is not too many things, which we can evaluate with some objective indicators (I could agree, that such indicators could be for example amount of bugs and engine's optimization). The same thing is with RE6. And with classic RE titles. I've played in them since first part and still enjoyed RE6. However, I could agree that mercenaries and some DLC modes are things, which kept me (and probably many other people) with this title for longer amount of time (and I could agree, that campaigns have some noticeable lacks).
We could ask many questions about rating of "classic" RE too - should we considered as a good games RE 1-3, which are titles with clunky, tank control (even for standards of 90'), lack of really scary or disturbing moments (who is afraid of zombies in 90', not to mention nowadays?), with naive plot and cheesy dialogues, and with style of gameplay, which is an imitation of much older Alone in the Dark series?
You see? All these doubts (and counterarguments!) are the matter of taste. While I could understand, that we can (and we should!) search for some "objective" indicators in such things as philosophy, religion or politics, in case of games (and other "entertainment" things) such manner is inadequate (and leads only to showing our opinions as facts). Except for some things I've mentioned before (amount of bugs, optimization etc.).
