Can you play other steamworks games online fine?
If it's your network issue I suggest you be the host and invite him, if it's your issue with steam I don't know what to do.
It is really annoying....its been 2 days that we tried all the methods that we can find on internet to make it happen but not working....
any suggestion? if my whole network was the issues then i cant even play, host other games right?
There was a time in April/May when steam servers were in maintenance or something, and I simply cannot create online sessions/searching sessions immediately fails without showing lists, but not as your case.
and I tried to join other user (not him) but cant join any of the listed games
either worldwide, region, or country.
I tried to google it but it only shows the threads and posts from 2012 or 2013 and not even pc ones rather it is xbox or ps3
I still cannot figure out why you can't join games...
I was waiting on the co-op lobby when you seleting the character after i created or thought to be created the online session but nobody came in....but since i didn actually start the game
I guess i will give it a try.....
My computer is connected through the powerline router (you plug one of the device on regular power plug and other device to receive the signal through the electrical powerline in the house)
Is it gonna make difference on joining or hosting RE6 online sessions?
Always create open lobbies. If the invites by pressing R don't work then try launching the game, open Steam overlay. Go to friends. Click on arrow next to his name. Click Invite to game.
Or let him host?
This is just a total shot in the dark, but have you made sure your Steam is set to your correct region?
Click on the word "Steam" on the top left of any Steam main window
Choose "settings"
Choose "Downloads"
Make sure your "Download Region" is set to your actual region.
Or if it is, maybe try setting it to the next closest region after that - So if you are in Canada, and it is set to Canada, maybe try North America or something.
Like I said, no guarantee that works, or that it does indeed have anything to do with this, but I know of people having set some undefined option there, and that was the issue.
@lxlSiriuslxl think I saw on the internet saying before download region were problem so it has to matched with same region to play together with friends....we tried to set it with same download region on steam and tried to see if it works but it didn work either...but it was just him changed into my region...
I havent tried to change my region to some other...I will give it a go see if it works!
UPDATE: Ive tried to change my download region and join one of the sessions but still cant join.....it continues to say failed to receive a response.....really annoying.....whoa.....
Make sure you run Steam and/or RE6 in admin mode.
Possibly deactivate your antivir for testing.
Something clearly prevents you from connecting in this game, so you should just check out everything.
I don't even have port forward (because certain reasons), and I can play online no problem, RE6 included.
So it's likely some file execution prevention or some such crap.
And again, not sure if the above does anything, but can't hurt to try, right?
