Unless you're using 3rd part software to give yourself something like inf ammo/hp then you will NOT be banned regardless of what others say.
On multiplayer just dont use trainers or else people call you hacker. But if you using the skill trainer on multiplayer people will just kick you and call you a noob.
I do not intend to use it in multiplayer, it is single player only, what are the options may ban the player if the unlimited life or unlimited ammo are not forbidden by the vac?
I can confirm that you won't be banned for this. I have done some pretty crazy modding to my game and I have had no issues what so ever. You can even use all of that stuff online as long as it's with a friend and they are aware of it. You'll only get banned, in this game like many other VAC Games, if people report you for cheating after playing with you.
Although, VAC bans people not reported, it is written in the faq :
"While server admins may choose to ban specific players, server admins cannot VAC ban players. The VAC system is automated - contacting Steam Support to report cheaters is not necessary, nor will Steam Support act on any information provided [...] Please note that users are never banned based on reports alone.
The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modification to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game's core executable files and dynamic link libraries."
On other games you can choose to play or not on VAC servers, although I have not tried but in Resident Evil it's impossible to choose
Trainers modify memory allocations where values are stored and calculations are performed. They can get you VAC-banned, even if you're using them in single-player. Period.
Thats not true. VAC is an automated system, and reporting someone from his profile doesnt do a thing
I find it pretty lame. We should have an option to choose if you want to be part of it.
I'm not cheating on this game, cause I don't feel the need to, mainly with unlimited ammo. But I like to mess around with games after I played it once normally. Unfortune there is always these damn leaderboards in the way, that I care less if "xXxDingDong1234xXx" is on the 100 top list of thousand of games out there.
1. What about increasing the number of enemies in the campaign? To make the enemy numbers more like they are in No Mercy. Wouldn't it be interesting to be bombarded by enemies in the streets of Tall Oaks or surrounded by hoards of zombies in the cemetary, etc.
2. Increasing the # of Agent Hunt players who can join your game to attack you and your friend while playing on No Hope. Increase the danger with the human element! Right now, Agent Hunt has a limit of just 2 Agent Hunts, I'd like to see 6 Agent Hunts joining in.
The whole idea is increasing the # of enemies who attack you in the campaign. I don't believe there is any way to make this work, as I've never seen anyone talk about it being possible. But if say it is possible, is there any real risk of being banned. ?
As far as the possibility, I've heard of a 6 player No Mercy on the internet. I don't really know, but a lot of this stuff seems really cool. Changing skins or the # of bullets I have in my gun, however, are of absolutely no interest to me. I think the most fun that can be had is with increasing the # of enemies you have to fight, and doing this within the campaign.
Just don't do it in actual MP modes.
Now I can finally mod the Chris & Piers Campaign to my liking without having to worry. Thanks.
