Only downfall to this is if your controller comes unplugged during play you'll have to restart the game with the controller plugged back in or else the controller will then be recognized as dinput until you shut the game down and restart it and thus giving the xbox controller emulator the right to make the game think it's an xinput controller.
Process is pretty simple with my controller and it should be simple with yours as well.
Basically you just download the emulator, then put it into the same folder your game's .exe file is in, run the emulator first so you can set up your buttons (make sure your controller is plugged in at this point of course), save your emulator set up and close it out, and the start the game like normal.
The emulator program is x360ce, I'll try to link the website here, but if steam removes the link just search x360ce and you'll find it.
x360ce link (I've used it alot never had any issues):

lengthy tutorial how someone used the emulator with the same controller you have for dark souls (in my opinion the post by samination explains it much simplier, it's the second comment I think, but incase you had problems I linked the guide b/c I never used your type controller before):

HIGHLY doubt this will give any real kind of fix. It's something that causes your controller to not be recognized as xinput trust me. I have the exact same issue.
So to make a long story short for me my controller got switched to the wrong mode and thus was confusing games. So if your controller has an ability to switch modes make sure it's in xinput or xbox mode.
By the way, different games react different to either enable/disable option, some even display the correct PS inputs, so it's good to keep in mind.
For your info, I've been using inputmapper from th estart. I uninstalled it (and the inputmapper hidguardian) and tried ds4windows and I had the same exact issue.
