Chris & Piers in love with one another?

Were Chris and Piers in love with each other? I could really feel the tension between them. Chris loves his men that includes Piers.

Piers had feelings for Chris, but it was mostly one-sided.
You can see that especially by noticing Piers' general attitude towards things in Chapter 3 and Chapter 5.
Revelations 2 unlock has an e-mail exchange between Piers and Claire where he requested a picture of younger Chris.
It's never straighforward, but if you're not dense you can connect the dots.

I have not completed the Jake and Ada campaigns yet but I thought the RE6 writers got lazy when they killed off Piers at the end of Chris's campaign. I thought Jake would have shown up and injected Piers with his love and saved him from the C virus.

I believe Chris was the one who was supposed to die. But Capcom didn't want to repeat Kojima's footsteps of Metal Gear Solid 4 and decided to kill off Piers instead.

They are going to have to figure out what to do with Chris in the next game, he flat out stated he's done with all this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it never ends. And then surpise Piers gets it in the neck instead.

There was seeds of something there, if Piers lived they would have been together. IMO Chris got together with Cathy White - https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Cathy_White - and years later the events of Resident Evil Vendetta occurred.

The thing with Chris, is that his personal life was never hinted at, and Capcom wrote that Chris and Jill were only friends. So people take it that Chris is gay or in my theory Bi.
