Laser sight/crosshair is invisible?

Hi there. I've started replaying this game, but I can't get my laser sight and/or crosshair to work. Does Leon just simply not have one? It's veeeery hard to aim without knowing where you're aiming at atm. I have tried swapping between the two and changing laser colours and things like that, but I still don't get any sign of where I am aiming.

Anyone else have this issue, or am I missing something?

There is a skill/talent that removes it and gives you a small damage buff instead. Check that.
