Starting a new game with the starter weapons?

I'm replaying this again and I gifted it to a friend. I want to replay Leon's campaign, but is there any way I can remove all the weapons I have unlocked? I just want the things you start with. Thanks!

Select last part of an Chapter 5 (Jake is fastest), finish it. Skip credits. Now go to New Game+ option in the main menu. When you'll select desired campaign you'll get a question regarding your inventory. Here it offers you to either keep or wipe your whole inventory. When wipe is selected the two characters of that particular campaign will have their inventory reset to default.
You can select Chapter 1, start it, save and exit just in case. Then you'll be ready to paly with your buddy.

Thanks. A little annoying I have to replay the last chapter but no biggie.

You can select chapter segments. So Jake 5-4 segment is at the exit. It takes 3 minutes and 30 seconds to complete that segment (with skipped cutscenes).

I ran across another way to start fresh which was to play as the character you didn't clear the campaign as.
I.E I played Leon's Campaign as Leon, and when I tried to start a new game on his campaign, I decided it would be cool to try Helena. I ended up discovering she had no weapons where as Leon did.
