[CHRIS CH1-2] How does Chris not know about Ada?

SPOILERS: Only talking about Chris chapters 1 and 2 since that's what I've completed. No further spoilers from the rest of the campaign or other character campaigns. Also spoilers from RE4 and 5.

This is probably classified as a plot hole but how does Chris not know about Ada Wong? In RE5 he clearly says that he read the Kennedy Report on the events of RE4, comparing the Uroboros to Las Plagas. You think in that report Leon would have mentioned someone (Ada) that stole a sample of the virus which most likely caused the events of RE5 since she gave it to Wesker to develop Uroboros. Information on people like Ada would have been passed around organizations (like the BSAA) and info networks.

Knowing something obvious like that would have prevented the death of his squad in chapter 2. He also wouldn't have had amnesia, whatever PTSD he displays, and being a drunk.

Also since they didn't know about her, they could have immobilized her or shot her when they were put into the room trap and before she threw the virus bomb.

But I guess all of this shows the mystery and unpredictability surrounding Ada since even Leon was duped twice by her in RE2 and 4.

I don't see how this question matters with me completing the game or not unless there is something I don't know. It's something that happened in Chris's Chapter 2. He clearly didn't know who Ada was and now he does know.

The "Kennedy Report" was about Las Plagas and the Iluminados cult, we don't know how much Leon told the US Government about Ada but we know they have a strange relationship, so maybe he "forgot" to mention some details in his report.

Ada was just pretending she worked with Wesker. She helped Leon several times, against her orders, killed Krauser, and finally betrayed Wesker. Leon cooperated with her during the mission, and wouldn't have succeeded it it wasn't for her, which wouldn't have been precisely an easy situation to explain.

That is true. Way back in RE2, Leon did start to develop a romantic interest for Ada. I was thinking that he probably "forgot" to report her in RE4 because of that. He probably doesn't want her to get harmed. So if Chris knew about her, him and his squad probably would have harmed her or would have been less ingnorant of her in RE6

Now I do remember the RE4 DLC with Ada. She certainly did help Leon significantally and went against Weskers orders and saved Leon numerous times. The problem is that she did take the Las Plagas sample at the end of the game. What happened to it after that though? She was supposed to bring it to Wesker. I was assuming she did finish the main objective for him even though she went against all his orders.

EDIT: Oh I just read on her RE wiki article that she double crossed Wesker in RE4 and gave him a bad sample while giving the actual sample to another organization (doesn't say who or what they do). Wesker still managed to get the actual sample off of Krauser's body however. I don't remember any of that, did it happen in one of the spin off games such as the Chronicles games?

It looks like she did give the G-Virus sample to Wesker in RE2 even after witnessing the devistation in Raccoon City. Umbrella did help her escape though. Like an exchange-getting rescued in exchange for the virus sample.

Well, yes. Leon made another Ada related mistake in RE6 when he stops Chris and allows "Ada" to escape from the BSAA, causing even more problems. Leon allways does some stupid things he shouldn't be doing when Ada is around him, and Ada in fact does the same kind of things for him.

Ada sent Wesker a regular Plaga sample and gave the Control Plaga she took from Saddler to the organization she actually worked for. Wesker obtained a Control Plaga anyway by other non-specified means, we don't know how. Krauser blew up with the rest of the island so it's unlikely it was from him. It could have been something to do with the black market dealer Ricardo Irving (RE5), RE Archives 2 says he was one of the few people who might have known how Las Plagas made their way to Africa.

I'm not reading the part you blacked out lol. But I was going to assume that Ada probably duped Leon and the other characters somehow in RE6 anyways. I mean she already duped Chris.

Yeah I doubted he got the sample from Krauser too. Just like reading Wikipedia as a source, you can't trust everything the RE wiki says either. I wonder what organization Ada actually worked for in RE4. Might be revealed in RE6, I'll have to find out. Still need to know what she's doing.
