Abandonware Question
Since this is Abandonware, where can i finde the free downloade... or where will be the free downloade?

And more importan, do the community work on a Community patch?

btw; to the dev's
would be a good PR for the second Towns game ;)

There is no info yet will the game go open source, but even if it does, i dont think the game will be free. You will still need to buy it, but people can work on it and similar. I am sure xavi (main dev) will not let the game be free, because he still wants to get $$$

after they damage the image, it would be a clever move to give towns two for free to them who already bought towns one, and make towns one for free as a PR/demo/ etc...

I dont think there will ever be towns 2, but if they do it, it would be a good move to give it for free to peole that have the first game, I agree.

But from the looks of it, xavi would never do it because he is to much interested in $$$.

Open source means it's free, if you have the source, you can compile it yourself and play it. For free...Thats what open source is. Yes they could sell a precompiled version still, but you would be a fool to buy it.

that why i talk about "Image damage"..

when they do nothing like this... there will never sell any other game as good as this one in the good old days...

that's not what it means.. this doesn't mean the art assets are free.

Abandonware typically means that the game has fell out of any form of distrobution, not that the game is no longer commercially available. Games that are still for sale are not conventionally "abandonware," even if the people developing them ship an incomplete project they will never finish.

Too many people complaining about the fact that this game is no longer being developed. In the grand scheme of gaming (I have over 30 years worth) this was a drop in the monetary bucket.

I feel I got my 15 dollars worth out of it. Heaven knows I've paid more for worse games.

How ridiculous does everyone sound that thinks they should get something free. You knew the risks when you bought into the game. What exactly entitles you to anything other than the game you purchased? You have that already...

The biggest irony here is that the persons that are screaming the loudest about the developer being greedy and wanting money, are the same people screaming about how they deserve something because of this. Sounds like the developer isn't the only greedy one around here...

BULL. The game was sold as finished, there was no "this is an alpha, you buy an unfinished game. Stop defending this scam.
