Changing Weapons

I'm a new player and just bought both games in the sale...I haven't tried pacific yet.
I was wondering what you find is the best way way to swap weapons...i.e. the number keys or the scroll wheel?.

I was even thinking of using Voice Attack to swap but I would like to hear how more seasoned players do it.

Any help appreciated and Kind Regards to you all.

I was thinking more of just saying like 'one, two, three' etc....I had might as well use the otherwise unused mic on my headset for something.
I'm also going to try using the logitech Hub app to reassign the number keys on my keyboard to other numbers so that my most used weapons would be on 1,2,3 in order of preference...my little fingers are used to reaching for those keys whereas from 5 upwards i find myself having to look down.

It's actually amazing how much i rely on 'muscle memory' as a gamer...all the keys around around the WASD I can just hit automatically without thinking about it but when it comes to the weapons on 6, 7 and 8, then I need to take my eyes off the screen for a second...but we all know how lethal a second can be in an FPS.
