Intermittent problems can have you chasing your tail.
If you're actively using your pagefile (to the point that Windows has to increase it) you need more RAM.
That said, it doesn't hurt to set a larger minimum size in Windows and leave the maximum unset, or set very large.
I tried your sollution, but to no success.
The longest I had was 30-ish minutes, but cannot get it longer then 3 now. Mostly just freeze-crashes right at the menu. Have to reset my PC a couple of times too.
There is a SERIOUS memory leak built in this game.
The 30 minutes that it worked? Windowed 1280*768, lowest settings. I kept the Process Explorer running, and watched as the RAM usage RAPIDLY rises to the point of crashing my PC.
Can still play Cyberpunk (after patches, of course), and a LOT of other stuff without a single issue, this one tho - noup.
This really sucks.
well werid. also it still worked for me. i never had a problem with it. also did u try installing the game on a 2nd Drive? and then setting the ram to where it was installed?
if u need to talk to me on Discord. for more trouble shooting just add me here as a friend and send me ur discord. or ill send u mine.
Borderless Fullscreen i have been playing for 6 hours straight with no crashes
good question take that up with ubisoft Scams. when u gotta make another account for another platform just to launch a game.
Sorry to hear that Assassin's Creed Valhalla is crashing on your PCs.
Please try all the steps from our PC troubleshooting guide:
Troubleshooting technical issues on PC[www.ubisoft.com]
Make sure you update not only your graphics card drivers but also check for ALL available updates to your motherboard on the manufacturer's website.
Disconnect any additional USB devices, other than mouse and keyboard for testing purposes (any USB hubs, headsets etc).
Disable ALL 3rd party, unnecessary applications running in the background, especially 3rd party overlays like GeForce Experience, Overwolf and Discord.
Disabling background applications on PC[www.ubisoft.com]
If nothing of the above helps you, please generate diagnostic files from your PCs and attach them to a support ticket for analysis:
Generating DxDiag and MsInfo system reports[www.ubisoft.com]
Also, please include the Ubisoft Connect logs that can be found in the Ubisoft Connect installation path, in the Logs folder - launcher_log, network_info and service_log.
The default path would be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\Logs
I came here as I own the game on Ubisoft not on Steam and hoping there was a fix, Nothing but constant crashes and freezing.
Search on Google and reddit, It's NOT people's pc's it's the game.
Need class action lawsuit, This should not be for sale as it doesn't work for more than 30 minutes no matter what temporary fix people try.
No way this game can't run on my pc, 4080 RTX and I'm not even at 4k just 1440p.
32Gb DDR5, 12700k cpu, 2TB Samsung 980 pro M.2
Shocking that Ubisoft is struggling.
