age: Disc write errror
The failure to start refers to a read or write failure associated with the file ACValhalla.exe.
since then I've managed about 200 hours of gaming, but often have to restart ACValla twice. This takes a long time because the 200 Mb of Ubisoft stuff that has to load off the internet each time takes forever with my old clunky landline which does not exceed 3 Mb/s. Todays problem is all the great progress I made last night has disappeared and instead about 5 different fictitious "saves" allegedly recorded all at the same time today (I was out all day!) knock me back to earlier last night. (Trying to complete "The Raven and the Crow") I apologise for saying this as its a separate whinge. I appreciate all the work you folks do to help the rest of us.
Sorry to hear that you are still having issues with Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
If I understand it correctly, the error with the disc write message has been resolved by restarting your PC but now you have lost your progress and instead there are incorrect save files on your drive?
If a save file was not created on your PC for any reason, we will not be able to bring it back, sadly. We can advise you to check if your cloud sync is enabled in Ubisoft Connect settings and how to avoid such situation in the future.
You can do this after logging into Ubisoft Connect launcher, clicking the > sign next to your Ubisoft username, selecting Settings and ticking the Enable cloud save synchronization.
For Ubisoft Connect to create and save a progress file on your hard drive, you need to launch it with administrator rights[www.ubisoft.com]
