Vinland : Assassinate Gorm bug

I have killed gorm but, yet to confirm assassination.went on to kill the rest of the camp, fast travelled to the shop to buy final Vinland item ( the spear), now walked back to camp,
Gorm is not on the ground, unreachable, and the confirm assassination marker showing buried in the ground ( nope he is not in the area where there is althe underground river entrance/exit)

The body has disappeared inside the ground, any tool to dig? 😝

Apologies for the late response. I'm also sorry to hear that you are unable to assassinate Gorm after fast travelling away from the area.

Unfortunately this issue can occur as you are meant to assassinate order of the ancients immediately after winning the fight.

Can you please try the following:

1 - Try loading a previous save before you defeated Gorm then try again.
2 - Go to the location where Gorm is then create a manual save and exit the game. Then load the newly created manual save and see if Gorm respawns.

If none of those steps help then I'm afraid there is nothing else you can do as title update 1.7.0 that was released on February 21 2023, was the final update to address bug fixes in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. As a result, any new issues reported will not be addressed by the development team.
