Constant Crashing
Like the title says, I crash absolutely constantly with no warning. It started after I was around 60 hours into the game. The only time I don't crash, weirdly enough, is when I play DLC content. Does anyone know of a fix I havne't tried?

My rig:
Asus Z790-H ROG Strix (WiFi)
Intel Core i9-13900KF Processor
Corsair 32GB DDR5-6000 Vengeance RAM
Kingston Fury Renegade 2TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD
Asus GeForce RTX 4090 OC 24GB TUF
Asus ROG Strix 1000G 80+ Gold

Fixes I've tried to no avail:
- Reinstalling the game
- Verifying the game
- Turning cloud saves off
- Playing with no wifi
- Playing after deleting cache
- A factory data reset of my computer (Windows + drivers installed from cloud)
- A factory data reset of my computer (Windows + drivers installed from USB)
- Multiple different versions of NVIDIA drivers (Custom install each time)
- Running the game as administrator
- Running the game with full screen optimizations turned off and windows 7/8 compatability on
- Running Valhalla directly from the folder (Might as well try it all)
- Setting a FPS limit
- Turning VSync on
- Set priority to high/realtime in task manager
- Ran a memtest with no errors
- Used OCCT to run checks on all other hardware, still no errors
- Actually had my literal 4090 replaced by the company I bought the computer from, even though they couldn't find any issues either
- All drivers are up to date, including BiOS

Might be missing quite a few tries. Does anyone know how to fix it? Have had the same issue with Oddysey towards the end of the game. Made me give up the DLC, which apparrently was a cannon storyline I just completely missed.

Hey there,

Thank you for reaching out. Sorry to hear that you are encountering crashing issues despite your extensive troubleshooting. If this is persisting then I would recommend to complete a clean boot[ubi.li] this may help us identify the cause as it may be linked to a background application.

Any trouble, just let us know.

Many thanks,

Still crashing, just as usual.
Here are what I get from the launcher logs, which is pretty consistent with what I always get in terms of logs after a crash:

By the way, wanna make it very clear that it isn't a hardware issue. Have tested it extensively myself and I even sent my computer back to the manufacturer, who also tested it and found no errors, yet generously still replaced my 4090. They say it's a known issue with Ubisoft games though.

Hey Trist,

Thank you for your message.
Make sure you upgrade not only your graphics card drivers but also check for ALL available updates to your motherboard.

Make sure you are using the latest BIOS for your motherboard and CPU combination.
Do not attempt updating the BIOS by yourself, if you are not 100% sure how to do it. Ask someone who is.

Make sure you are not on an Insider Preview of Windows 11. These are beta versions and may not be stable.

I swear, Ubi-Vinci is starting to sound like a bot. The community has already found out that it's the Ubisoft Connect launcher that is terminating their games because of their broken servers and/or broken integration (most likely the latter), but they keep desperately trying to convince the users there is something wrong with their PCs...

I do not understand why they hate PC users so much, but I have made a strong decision to never buy their games again, not until they give any ETA for the patch addressing the issue that is breaking ALL their games (well, to be frank this only started happening to me lately while playing AC Valhalla, Avatar and some other *Ubisoft* titles I don't recall now). Are they trying to go bankrupt being so proud of their broken launcher at the cost of losing ALL PC users or what on Earth is going on...

Hey Neriy Roe,

I can assure you I am not a bot, and I advise relevant steps for PC users.
No one at Ubisoft hate PC players as you stated, I am one myself.

Some issues with 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs and potential fixes with newer BIOS are something we all have heard of and seen.

Nowhere in this thread do we see what version of Windows the OP is using.
Making sure it's not 11 Insider Preview is quite important, in my opinion.

I can assure you 99.99% there is nothing wrong with user PC. I tried 3 different PC setups, with AMD CPUs, Intel CPUs, AMD GPU, NVIDIA GPU. All of them are "crashing" (i.e. terminating, since there is no crash). Fix that cursed launcher already. For the information, I've never used preview builds of anything.

Thanks, Neriy Roe.

If you get these errors with different PCs and you are convinced this is Ubisoft Connect at fault there, please feel free to submit support ticket and attach diagnostic files from one of those PCs.

You can also attach UC launcher logs and network logs. These could include information that you mention.
Or perhaps you are in possession of different logs that can be helpful. Please attach them as well - https://ubi.li/i1JM5

Mostly errors like these (profile ID is not mine):

```
[15180] 2024-08-06 19:16:41 [15344] ERROR JobHttp.cpp (605) Http status code is no content for url https://public-ubiservices.ubi.com/v1/profiles/374510bd-d003-41e6-966c-93b7f6ccdb45/global/ubiconnect/playsession/api/sessions.
```

It terminates right after this.

Unfortunately, I have already unsubscribed and deleted Ubisoft Launcher for good.
I could only suggest asking your colleagues *AROUND THE GLOBE* (I am located in Lithuania) to leave either AC: Valhalla or Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora running on PRODUCTION SERVERS on some end-user (non-dev) machine for 48 hours without any interruptions. Maybe even a couple of hours would be enough, but just to be sure... I guarantee you'll reproduce the bug.

Thanks for your effort, Neriy Roe.
I can also test it myself, out of curiosity, as I believe I haven't completed the second DLC yet.

Hello everyone.

Apologies for not getting back to this thread sooner.
I installed the game and launched my saves with Wrath of The Druids and Dawn of Ragnarok.
I did not experience any crashes specific to these DLCs.

I know, that now with the release of Windows 11 24H2 there are issues affecting more players. If you are on Windows 11 24H2, please create a new thread with such information in the title or post in an already existing thread.

I will close this one.
