I am sorry that the game is not starting for you any longer!
Could you please make sure that the game is whitelisted in your Antivirus programs? This helped other players that could not launch the game after the last update.

Hi, I’ve tried verifying files, reinstalling, setting an exception in my AV. It just hangs on the splash.
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing crashing issues since the recent update.

As a potential workaround, I suggest the following:
- Disable the in-game overlay in Ubisoft Connect
- Add the Assassin's Creed Valhalla exe file to your exception list of your antivirus software.
If the issue persists thereafter, and you've tried all the other basic troubleshooting which was suggested, please note that we are currently aware of this issue affecting players since the update and the team are investigating this.
If you find the time, I'd like to ask you to please open a support ticket via email [www.ubisoft.com] and attach a DxDiag and MsInfo report to the case.
(Feel free to mention all the troubleshooting steps you have already tried as well so that these are not recommended to you again).
