yeah from the outside... in plain line of sight you can just use a nomal arrow
not ingame right now.. having my own little wisit from insomnia..at least i can use the time to get some stuff done... will look for this place near veronis you are taling about next time im in game.
to get in
The thing you need to open barred doors is on the other side of the door, which is protected from the explosion by the door. You usually have to find some way to get a line of fire to it with your bow and shoot it, then you can open it. Or some other entrance.
Many of the mini-puzzles in Valhalla is how to get inside buildings. There's always a way, as long as there's actually a house and not a decorative feature in the shape of a house.
(Note: I've run into one or two buildings - usually castles - where you need quest progression to get inside them. Or collect keys from far away.).
there's always a way - my favorite is shooting out the bar from outside through a window.
Sometimes there's two ways in, and sometimes it requires a key, I hadn't noticed cases with no solutions, but some posts in the thread quote a few cases that are quests related but i'm not sure those cases involve a house, it's more a church, a castle or an underground.
For sure try clean loot all is perhaps not the best way, sometimes when I'm not in the mood and it's not equipment or knowledge book, I just ignore. In fact in some cases of equipment or knowledge book, I search a bit and ignored when I wasn't in the mood to search longer.
Then there's a few cases I gave up even after a long search, all was underground, tried but stopped before find the way, like 3 cases plus one I gave up and solved later quoting it was a bit trivial during a quick second check.
It's not rare there's a lure leading you to the wrong way.
Moreover there are rare cases, some examples in spoiler:
- Break a lock with a shoot from a roof, could be just in a paid DLC.
- Break a lock with an explosion/burn at the door or inside the house.
- Break stuff to allow move something blocking a passage, but for the numerous rarer variations around breaking stuff, just search what can be break and just break without bother analyze should do the trick.
But overall I don't remind it was critical to enter in those houses, and again loot everything possible to loot is hardly the best fun for most players. And when it's critical to enter in a house you'll know it clearly.
Also lot of those, wander around the house and look for any out of place looking bars on windows you can shoot through. Use Odin's Sight to pulse and highlight the door bar and line up a shot. Or you can find a rack you can grab and slide out of the way of a window to shoot through/break.
