Well not entirely.
I haven't also seen a single thread that a person with AMD graphics card has crashes on the game, please correct me.
I have updated all my drivers.
I have updated my OS. Verified integrity of cache.
I have made sure that in nvidia control panel the 3D settings are Power Management Mode - Preferred Maximum performance.
There are specific spots that the game crashes - yes.
But the weird part is that the Video Driver actually crashes the game.
If you all look at your Event Viewer you mind find the following two error and warning messages for sure:
Error 0 and Error 4101
Both are for the nvidia drivers.
So while the product is not broken, it breaks our graphics driver and makes it to restart.
That's all the CDT that have happened to me.
I wish to point out that all other games that I play on my PC have no crashes and the crash of the driver happens only in Assasins Creed Valhalla.
A second thing I wish to point out is that these errors and crashes are observed only on DX12 games as I went down the rabbit hole...
Ubisoft Devs, could you please speak with nVidia on the matter?
How many hours are you into the game and the mission?
Thank you!

latest drivers
i dunno what mission, maybe 20 hours in
I turned off Vsync on the control panel too

Thank you as well.
The 3D settings I read that are a "solution" but don't seem to work for me. There is a spot in the game on the 3rd DLC that 100% crashes and I haven't played in several hours now just to figure it out...
I have an UltraWide which is not G-Synced.
If you had crashes can you share if you observe the same warnings that the display driver has crashed?
Thank you!
https://imgur.com/mPJLbTi <--Geforce Experience had a drivers update waiting for me just now
I'm on window 11, and got many crashes
The game's Perfromance-viewer seems to not properly see what OS i'm using, it says Windows 10 while i'm using windows 11
I'm playing on a laptop
RTX 3080 ti
Intel i9-12900H
64 gb 4800MHz
Bios and Drivers up to date
I'm playing on max settings at 80+ fps at 1440p
Yes, I will do that just now. I thought Performance Mode maybe tweeked it but it was a dud. It crashed a mere moments ago.
Windows 10, I am not to keen to upgrade soonish.
My BIOS is not up to date, but I really don't want to touch it... as it semi-supports my processor. It's a B550 Phantom Gaming and I am on the BIOS that supports the 5000 Series. Upgrading an Asrock is surely scary for me, nothing like GB or ASUS.. Man I should change my Motherboard.
Also considering Windows 11 still in Beta it's normal. It will be the same Transition probably from Vista to 7. Or 8 to 8.1 to 10. Or 98 to XP.
I have a WD 3840x1440 on Ultra I am getting around 100-120 FPS with a desktop 3080.
Still not sure tho, why the crashes happen. I have lowered the scalability, I have lowered the settings just to test and yet at specific moments where the usage of the GPU spikes then it hits and it always spikes regardless of Medium, High, Ultra settings...
no one cares for your system requirements
besides, if a game runs perfectly fine for 50+ hours and then begins to crash its not really the fault of a system because if it was it would either not run at all, or crash on startup
same with the game Vampyr. ran perfectly fine but began to crash in Chapter 4, and more people had that experience. might be faulty code at work here considering oi run the game on ultra settings no lag whatsoever and no frame drops either, but i do get a crash every 3 hours or so
12/08/2022 was the release date
