AC Valhalla - Ubisoft Connect - Steam
Hey, just wanted to know. If i own the Ragnarok or Deluxe Edition via Ubisoft Connect and buy the Standard Edition over Steam can i still play Dawn of Ragnarok? usually if you launch a game via steam it connects to uplay and then u should be able to right? just want to know thanks

Hello Nithoru, thank you for your question.

DLC purchased from one platform, is not usable on another separate platform, this would e the same for all our games, so the Ragnarok expansion you bought from Ubisoft Connect would not be playable on your Steam version of the game.

The items and content which are available across (cross-progression) launchers are noted in this article >

No, Uplay will show 2 copies of the game and the steam one will not have access to the DLC of the other

Of course you can still play it but not if you launch game with steam.

Due to Ubisoft DRM, any DLC must be purchased on same store as base game in order to work.

you sure about that, because other games like origins i owned via steam in the standard edition and could access all the stuff via my standard one on steam

If you own Ragnarok for UC it will not work with Steam.

If you want your saves to carry over from UC than you must own that DLC on steam as well for save to be compatible.

xD i bought it now just to try it, used my old save i can play the game without any problems, then tried to start the dlc worked well, then created a new save to try if i can start the dlc too, and it also worked so i guess it works

it should work, all you need is base game on steam, and any dlcs you own outside of steam should be recognized through UC.. have fun..

Well thats new if it works. As other titles this was not possible. Hopefully Ubisoft keeps it this way and doesnt change it if it is a bug since it just released.

Seems it also worked for Odyssey and Origins, for the handful of people I spoke to, and someone said they could do the same with Anno.

This did not work for me while playing Origins. Ubisoft support also confirmed DLC would not be compatible between platforms.

I had game on steam, bought DLC on UC for sale. Ran game and saw the DLC was there in game, but it would not allow me to activate it. I immediately got a refund once I opened a ticket to Ubisoft.

So if its working for Valhalla, where you have base game on steam, and DLC on UC, but it still works. That is good to hear. Hopefully this is not a bug and Ubisoft changes it.

tbh sounds really sad xD i can confirm my origins worked also with the same pattern, but odyssey ive never bought it on steam so cant say anything about it, just confirm that origins worked

It works? I have every single dlc on UC too. So if I redownload this game through steam, can steam redownload all of my purchased dlc on uc or its a seperate download later on uc client?
