Valhalla vs Mirage?

In my personal opinion Valhalla is far more enjoyable. I've spent 10 hours on Mirage and it just feels lackluster compared to Valhalla, even the story itself is less interesting. But the core of an Assassin's Creed game better focused in Mirage.

Mirage is just a Valhalla DLC really. It has minor changes but it's just a DLC that costs £50.

I was very hyped for this until I realized it's not "returning to its origins". I highly recommend that if you haven't played previous AC games (AC 2007 to Syndicate), go and play to see what it used to be. Way better and softer animation while parkouring, climbing,etc. Also, when in combat, you used to parry enemy attacks with great animations, but now it's just a dry movement.

But if I want to make a comparison between recent AC games, I like Origins and Valhalla more than AC Odyssey because the Oddyssey story is not about assassins at all (it's about how templares were created), the gameplay is not realistic, and you would use magic daggers and other superpower tools.

I've actually played all of them multiple times and my favorite is 3. But in these latest entry, Valhalla is by far the most enjoyable and had a really interesting story. Mirage lacks a lot of the enjoyment and storytelling in any AC game imo.

It feels less than a dlc and more like a downgrade. Half of the features that I liked are removed and the game itself does nothing interesting with the engine it has.

By now I'm 60% through the story and its very bare bones when it comes to open world. They might as well have just removed the option entirely and kept it exclusive to mini maps.

True, story is not even a third of Valhalla's. I can't believe they got away with charging £50 for a DLC.
