Does Valhalla still crash constantly on PC?
I tried this game a couple years back and refunded it because it crashed consistently every 30 mins or so on both of my PC's. Has this been resolved or is it still a buggy crashy mess?

You forgot to reply to elimination btw. Maybe see if you can fix his game LMAO
I would normally start with broad testing of system stability. I can easily trigger the described behavior on my PC by purposely making the CPU unstable (to test it). Setting a ridiculous PBO values or altering main voltage by too much. The best part of it is the fact that Valhalla will negatively respond to this procedure in less than 5min of gameplay. Meanwhile Cyberpunk won't even notice the instability under such load where PBO doesn't apply anymore.

Disable frame limit in Nvidia driver ...
I would DDU the driver and place a fresh one as a rule before you even begin with this hint.

My PC is more than good enough to play this game with 144frames. But it started crashing every few minutes out of nowhere. I dont have crashes anymore since i capped the game to 60FPS and switching from Borderless to Fullscreen mode.

Might be no doubt, yet unable to use it's resources. You basically proved my point. Your hardware is unstable mister, if you need to limit the game to only 60 frames to keep it away from crashing. Restricting the load to low setting is a very clear indicator of hardware problem.

No every other game works fine :)

Dw, the dude had probably been paid by ubi too tell people it’s because of the way they have there hardware setup that’s causing the crashes 🤣🤣💀, its not something that can be fixed on our end its on ubisofts end.

There are two types of people, those that know how to troubleshoot their system and those that blame the game.

People like that are in every game thread, this is nothing new and arguing is pointless. They will always believe its the game, meanwhile the people that know how to fix won't be able to help those that don't want to be helped.

I've just played around 60 hours with a good PC and i have had 4 crashes, but all was the same location. Crashed 2x each on 2 quests that had same location. So it was something there that made me crash. The good thing was that i got saved through the quest by auto save so i finished both. Last 20 hours no crashes at all.

People crashing with a sub optimal setup is nothing new. Didn't update anything, just started playing with no problems.

I actually really like the game. Recommended.

Couldn't agree more.

I already explained it why is that some games will not respond to unstable setting and other ones won't tolerate it at all. Not so long ago I actually proved it again with Cyberpunk and Requiem as well. Both games are absolutely fine with completely unrealistic GPU OC. More than 20h into Requiem, more than 30h into Cyberpunk and... go figure 0 crashes whatsoever . Then moved back to Valhalla and suddenly the game is unplayable. How can this be? It is possible once you understand how it works. And no it is not the games fault, it is the hardware's fault. I have been too long in the business and fixed too many customers PC's to simply shove the blame on the game developers and leave my customers with disabled PC. That is not my way of doing.

However there are instances where you can blame the developers for bad coding. You don't need to reach far back into the history at all. A good example was Red Dead Redemption Online. Plenty of quests were bugged to the point the game would simply crash. Deliveries were bugged that you had to do them in a certain order not to crash the game. We had a small group of people from various European countries. Sometimes the game would crash for everyone in the eastern region (Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, ...). Sometimes the game crashed for everyone in the western region (Germany, France, Holland, Belgium). And sometimes a crash occurred for our buddies from UK and Ireland. That is a situation where you can blame the game. I am not even mentioning about cheaters having a tool to purge all players from the server. Not by disconnecting them but by triggering a crash. GG

Also a good example was in before mentioned Cyberpunk. Everyone knows in which state the game has been released to us some few years ago. Multiple collisions in the game were constantly triggering a crash. Very unpolished game code was the cause. Happened even on the consoles. Something similar was happening in the Sons of the Forest (early access). Multiple times I have been thrown away off the map with a following crash in few seconds.

This kind of instances are allowing you to put the blame on the game and not the hardware.

Valhalla is polished very nicely and honestly I think it is very good that the game is sensitive to system instability. I wouldn't know that I was still running old test settings. Made me revisit CPU and GPU OC. If you ask how sensitive is the game I can tell you that if I add just 5MHz more to the GPU core max frequency the game will eventually crash in less than 1h. The more absurd the setting the sooner the game will tell.

This is something I can understand. Something went wrong in a certain quest because of some weird bizzare circumstance.

I wish it was truth but unfortunately for us both, no I am not. If you would read some of my previous reviews about Ubisoft games you would know that I am very far away of being in favor of Ubisoft.

Just to report here I have had 2 or 3 crashes. One was during river raid, the other 2 was normal quests. Oh well. It was rare but frustrating when it happens.
