The game is so massive you can tell Ubisoft couldn't optimize it, so I struggle with controls even more than any other AC game. Crashing to desktop is also pretty common for me, but it seems not everyone sees it. Oh and if a boss fight gets stuck, you can't pass through a hole, or you can't move a box, cap the FPS to 60 and it should fix it. Stupid.
Masteries are complete garbage and actually made me rage. Many of them require perfect runs and you will spend time fighting against the controls and terrible pathing/hitboxes which makes it so infurating. Worse off, the AI will sometimes randomly do something different, so if you watch a walkthrough there is a chance your AI will do something different. One of the stealth masteries, I had a guy that kept trying to walk into a wall. He would glitch up to the top of the wall, fall down and take fall damage, then eventually die. To get gold you have to assassinate him, so I had to go out of my way to kill him before he killed himself. This DLC just showcases everything broken with the game, the engine is not designed for something like this.
Story wise its alright IMO. But each region is like a side story, so it does feel a bit disconnected given the length. I did not enjoy Paris or Ireland, story there was boring. Just my opinion though.
Anyways, if you feel you can live through that and getting 100% gives you enough satisfaction, go for it. I am not exaggerating any of this though, don't do it if you think any of this will make you hate your life.
