When Did they Tweak the Difficulty Levels?

I've started this twice before. Today, I tried, but even on the easiest level, which I never needed before, I'm getting my butt kicked. Yeah, that sounds so funny to hateful losers, who think making fun of others gives them something. I cannot understand this. I tried on mid-level the first time. When I made it EASIER, one swing from the gang-banging group of guards, that I killed before entering the long-house, takes over half of my hp.

I also had the annoying bug that I would randomly switch to my bow without using the RMB. It was just default switching to the bow, and refusing to switch back to my axe. Also, 4 times out of 5, my crew members would not fight. I remember that being a thing the last time, too.

When I kill all except 4 guards, who are outside of the walls, my expectation is that I have 4-8 guards tops to face. Not around 12-13+ - wave after wave.

I feel like they tweaked the difficulty settings. Could that be the case? Power-gamers can download mods in Nexus to tweak their play experience. All I see for roll-players is bs saves that have maxed abilities. I'm not into that. I have my one save still. The other I deleted today to start fresh. So disappointing and irritating. I really don't know why they have to push every game into a power-gaming pos. Odyssey still plays well, at least for now.

At easy it should be easy, im playing at ultra hard and I die somethimes and thats it. Anyway is true that in the first big fight in the game your companions do nothing and everyone attack only you.

Yeah, would be should be could be, but it isn't now. As I wrote, if you had read what I wrote:

I have played this before on medium difficulty. I had no problems. Suddenly, today, the easier I make it the stupider it gets at certain points.

you should check difficulty options one by one ( and not only a preset like easy or hard ), as in my game i setted stealth difficulty to easy preset ( which has in description guaranteed assasination off, but it does exactly opposite it sets guaranted assasination to on ( so i have to set it separatly to off and then preset changes to custom and is possible that by setting it to custom other things changes too )

game is pretty easy once you level up a bit, just make sure you aren't going to areas which are too far above your level.. Also make sure you upgrade you weapons and armor...
