Mastery Challenges

i am not seeing any Mastery challenge locations on my map
i have all DLC's
do i need to start a certain quest for them to appear?

at some point further up the story the old lady will come and give you the quest

if you go to the map legend, there is a specific icon for the mastery challenges which will unlock one after the other, meaning (iirc) you have to complete 1 challenge on the 1st location, in order for the next to appear, in a total of 3 I think? haven't bothered finishing them they are pretty annoying for me after some point
