Game crashes to desktop with no errors

After 2-3 hours of gameplay the game just freezes and crashes to desktop
The last recording in launcher_logs says "ERROR AchievementsDownload.cpp (237) Unknown file extension for achievement."
I tried every possible solution floating in the internet, none of them actually helped (i saw that changing XMP profile helped smn, but how is it able to interfere with the game?! this one never tried), on the previous system after the game crash the pc would also freeze and wouldnt respond to anything, only restart would help, also the game process would just move to the background processes and wouldnt close. (Uplay version game)
On the new system (reinstalled windows) game just closes, no background processes, no pc freeze. If i start immediately game after first crashing, it would crash within 2-5 minutes, idk how its possible. (Steam version)
This game is 2 years old and yet its not optimized. Ubisoft you are going deeper and deeper with every new release.

Same issue here. Someone mentioned that it might be manual saves causing the problem. The stupid cloud backup function ism't working. Seems legit to me, I noticed that all my saves have duplicated since the issue started. One save for the cloud and one manual. I'm gonna try going without I guess...

The actual issue is the game itself and Ubisoft refusing to fix it. There's is nothing on our side to patch things up to be more playable. It's been like that since the release of the game and even on console.
