So I lost the wolf pet?

I free a wolf that was bounded, it was following me, but I continued the current side quest, using a boat, and the wolf stopped follow. I screwed up a combat, reloaded before taking the boat, no wolf.

Since then no wolf anywhere. In foundation village I saw no wolf.

So I got a bug and lost the only single pet forever?

Well it seems it's not the official wolf pet, this one is probably temporary and lost when you reload as in origins (facepalm). And it seems I never got the quest leading to get the only wolf pet of the game.

the wolfs you free from traps are temporary followers, and they are scattered through out the map to be freed

In Ravensthorpe there's a quest called "A Little Problem" it adds a wolf to Ravensthorpe <-- extreme spoiler ^^

I finally found the right quest, at first didn't check the right quest guide, honestly it's a disappointment, it's no pet just another ability of lire summoning.

That's a huge regression compared to Odyssey that had various pets aspects to improve but at least it was a good system with nothing OP but not meaningless either.
