Hey there, i had the same problem as you, after weeks of very VERY poor service from ubi helpdesk, i fixed it myself today.

Step 1 Close Steam
Step 2 Close Ubisoft Connect Launcher
Step 3 open Steam with admin rights
Step 4 open valhalla game folder and rightclick the valhalla.exe
Step 5 in compatibility, enable starting with admin rights.
Step 6 Open Ubisoft Connect Launcher with admin rights.
Step 7 Launch Valhalla through steam.

if ur game is linked to steam, right click the game and click on manage cd keys should be under there.

Thanks mate but unfortunately the cd key isn't up there. That's the first thing I did.

I've got the same problem. Contacted Ubisoft Support, but didn't get any answer.

Hi mate,
They eventually will answer. However they did not help me much and I finally asked for a refund. By the way I did purchase the game twice asked for help twice and had to refund it twice. Unbelievable!!! It is easier for pirates to play Assassin's Creed Valhalla than for a fan to pay for playing his favorite franchise....
If you finally get help, please come back here to explain to the community how we can run the game on our computer without getting F....ed up by those annoying drm.

Sorry I could not help you much.

I finally got a refund and bought the game from the Epic Platform when it went on sale. Nice game by the way...

Tried all of this right now, Have a linked Ubisoft account, nothing here worked.

In Ubisoft app I even have 'Steam' written under a bunch of games.

It either goes from clicking play button on steam to it going back to a play button after a few seconds, OR asks for a CD Key in Ubisoft Connect. I have 9 other games that have automatically linked from steam to Ubisoft connect so this is a unique problem to THIS game.

I have 477 games and THIS is by far the worst game I have ever tried to get working.

It's really a pain in the a...se. The admin logging trick both for steam and for the game should work though.

Yeah I had to uninstall ubisoft and the game, then run steam, the game and ubisoft app all on Admin mode.
Not sure if me restarting PC and opening Ubisoft app then restarting PC again was part of it..... Just a mess.

Glad it finally worked . But really it shouldn't be that complex to play Valhalla. It's easier for pirates to play ubisoft games than for honest consumers.
