I got it for $5, Can you rate the game based on that?
Good game for people who love to stick with 1 game (and become a pro in that game), bad game for achievement-farmers.
I was a fan of Origins and Odyssey was fun from start to finish for me, especially the combat curve difficulty however it's weird as Valhalla isn't a bad game it has all the things you expect but it's just not fun.
I normally never take breaks from single player games as I like to focus on getting 100% achievements before moving on to something else but I might have to for Valhalla.
Damn i thought my numbes were big, im 205 hours in and still have around 30-40 hours to get all achievements, i can't wait to finish it finally. This game took up 2 months of my life, too much for a bland game like this, but hey it's my fault i wanted to get all achievements...
for everyone who likes exploring and isnt in a hurry.
Its kind of unfair how Ubisoft gets blamed for delivering a huge game, sure its a bit repetitive and even I had wished there was at least one region which story arch would not end in a castle siege but it is what it is.
I have seen Reviews on YouTube where people hate on this game simply cause they werent able to upload their usual 3 reviews per week due to ac valhallas length which is even more ridiculous than people complaining about how long it takes to get 100% achievements for this game.
They tried to innovate some with Raids or the Settlement, and they were all terrible ideas. Also, the game is terribly stingy with handing out armor sets and equipment, I would guess to encourage digital purchases. Overall, it seems like a worse version of Odyssey, unless you are a big viking fan.
I'm 60hrs in and I usually only play on weekends, and even then, it gets sometime tedious to play for a long time. The story, doesn't seem like they put much effort into it, so not helping much either.
On the bright side, the Niflheim roguelite minigame it's amazing, by far the best content of this game I couldn't stop playing it when I started, so at least there is something to celebrate. Honestly, this is about a 7/10 for me...but it feels like wasted potential, could have been an easy 9/10 with the right people behind it, but UBisoft is what it is...
