Controller Input Disabled

Hey there. I wanted to use my Xbox Controller with the game, but the input is simply not enabled. Meaning, Mouse & Keyboard are simply forced on me. UbiSoft customer service has not answered AT ALL. Their customer service is crap, to be sure, but to not even give me some stupid and unrelated answer is even ruder then not bothering to read what I wrote when they respond.

Does anyone know if there is a command I can put in for boot-up of the game to force it to allow me to change the input type? Or did UbiSoft renig on their offer of us using our controller?

For posterity: It turns out that if you add this in Steam and use the Steam Controller support, you can easily use your controller with this game. If you just use the UbiSoft app, the controller input is disabled and set automatically to Mouse & Keyboard.

But, I have to say that combat with the controller is not good. Moving around, however, is much more confortable.

Same for me, i played almost 40 hours with my xbox360 controler but suddenly the game dont recongnize my controler anymore.. even with or without steam input. i tried everything, nothing work. and its just in this game.
